The Leoš Janáček International Music Festival dedicated to the centenary of Czechoslovak statehood culminated with an open-air concert in the attractive surroundings of the Hukvaldské obory. One of the most important singers of the contemporary opera scene, Adam Plachetka, and Slovak soprano Eva Hornyáková presented themselves in Janáček’s birthplace. They will perform the most famous arias from the operas of Bedřich Smetana, Antonín Dvořák and Leoš Janáček. The soloists are accompanied by the Bohuslav Martinů Zlín Philharmonic under the direction of conductor Robert Jindra, with words by music columnist Jiří Vejvoda.
