Romantic opera “O Contractador dos Diamantes” was one of the landmarks of the modernist movement, mixing traces of the romantic period with the Brazilian and modern language of Francisco Mignone.
It tells an excerpt from the life of Felisberto Caldeira, a famous Brazilian politician, military man and diplomat, and the relationship between his daughter and Luís Camacho.
