ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
The Nano-Opera Competition has been in existence since 2013 and has become a cultural event of European significance, a magnet for outstanding theatre professionals and talented young people. The professional jury includes artistic directors and directors of leading international and Russian opera houses, renowned theater managers, and producers, giving Nano-Opera participants the opportunity to secure first-hand engagements. The competition’s Grand Prix is a production at the Helikon Opera Theater.
The competition takes place at the Helikon Opera Theater, one of the most modern theater venues in the world, built by Moscow.
First place was awarded to Ekaterina Berez (Russia, Moscow), second place to Leonid Lavrovsky (Russia, Moscow), and third place to Fyodor Shalagin (Russia, Moscow) and Konstantin Kamynin (Russia, Moscow). The prize was presented to Ekaterina Berez by the renowned Italian opera director Giancarlo del Monaco, son of the great tenor Mario del Monaco.
The special prize from the media jury (a Parker pen from the Moscow bookstore and an interview on the TASS news agency website) was awarded to Ekaterina Berez.
As per tradition, members of the media jury also presented their awards:
Ekaterina Berez received an interview prize from the critical and journalistic magazine “Musical Life,” a certificate for staging one of the programs in the “Bolshaya Opera” competition from the Russia-Culture TV channel in the new season, a prize of participation in the “Tavor in Major” program from Radio Orpheus, and a certificate for 100,000 rubles for advertising promotion on the VKontakte network;
