The “Nano-Opera” competition has existed since Since its inception in 2013, the Nano-Opera has become a cultural event of European significance, a magnet for outstanding theatre professionals and talented young people. The professional jury includes artistic directors and general managers of leading international and Russian opera houses, renowned theatre managers, and producers, giving Nano-Opera participants the opportunity to secure first-hand engagements. The competition’s Grand Prix awards a production at the Helikon-Opera Theatre.
The competition takes place at the Helikon-Opera Theatre, one of the most modern theatre venues in the world, built by Moscow.
The competition’s conditions are designed to closely mirror the modern production process.Participants work with Helikon-Opera artists to stage an aria (Round 1),
a duet (Round 2),
and a crowd scene (Round 3).
Stage miniatures are born from scratch before the audience’s eyes.We are pleased to announce the performance order of our young directors:
