ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
70 years and still going strong:
Mozart Week celebrates its birthday! Salzburg Mozart Week is one of Europe’s most important music festivals – in 2026 it celebrates its 70th anniversary and proves once again its vibrant spirit.
This is undoubtedly also thanks to its director – Rolando Villazón, with his characteristic energy and enthusiasm, has breathed new life into the venerable festival. ORF III has followed him from the very beginning and presents the highlights of his era as a TV premiere!Featuring stars such as Cecilia Bartoli, René Pape, Martha Argerich, Daniel Barenboim, Roberto González-Monjas, the Mariachi, and the puppets of the Salzburg Marionette Theatre. And, true to Villazón’s motto “Mozart lives!”, Barbara Rett invites the director to a delightful “Mozart from A to Z” – from “Amadeus” to “Zauberflöte”!
