Giuseppe Bruni (born 1965) was commissioned by the festival to compose this Mass for soloists, choir, organ, and orchestra
The Dedication:
The Mass honors Saint Francis of Assisi. It holds special significance given that 2026 marks the historic 800th anniversary of the Transitus (death) of Saint Francis (1226–2026).
The Venue:
The landmark live premiere was presented in collaboration with and performed inside the magnificent Duomo di Orvieto (Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta).
