A seasonal traditional concert at Stony Brook will feature members of the University Orchestra, vocal soloists, and conductors in a performance of Handel’s Messiah on Sunday, December 4 at 3 p.m. in the Recital hall at Staller Center.
Choruses from Part One, Worthy is the Lamb/Amen and the Hallelujah Chorus will all be sung by the audience! Vocal scores will be available for purchase for $10 cash at the door. Solo vocalists will include graduate and DMA students Jeanai La Vita, soprano; Michaela Larsen, mezzo-soprano; Zhencong Chen, tenor and Michael Cheng, baritone. Conductors are Susan Deaver, Noah Fotis, Randall Horton, Michaela Larsen, Jordan Miller and Dongke Tu. Daniel Jones is the solo trumpet for “the trumpet shall sound”.
