  The evening opened with the Overture to Richard Wagner’s opera “Tannhäuser”
  and continued with Charles Gounod’s “Repentir / O divine Redeemer,” in an atmosphere of depth, light and emotion.
  The highlight of the concert was Charles Gounod’s monumental “Messe solennelle en l’honneur de Sainte-Cécile,” performed for the first time in the Black Church. The work brought together the solemnity of sacred music, the beauty of the choir and the expressive force of the orchestra, creating a memorable moment for the Brașov audience.
