ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
And at the very end of October on the stage of the Moscow theater “New Opera” premiere of the play “LOG”. This opera by the modern composer Mikhail Puchkov was staged as part of the laboratory of young composers and playwrights “CoOPERATION” by Nadezhda Bakhshieva, the creator of one of the most beloved children’s productions of our theater, the fun horror “Forest, Witch and Burning Closet” by E. Humperdinka
By the way, initially the name of the opera was written in small letters – just log. I like it when a word makes sense in different languages. In Russian, “log” is a wide ravine, and Dahl’s dictionary characterizes “den place” as “low, hollow, sagging, sunken.” A place of accumulation of moisture, fog, fallen leaves… And at the same time, a .log file is a document about the execution of a technical operation, which, as a rule, is studied when something went wrong. And in Greek, “log” is a part of the word “λόγος”, a word-concept, a being. What happens if we see only a part of a word and a concept, an external outline, and for the sake of an idea we decompose the world order into constituent particles?
