This Halloween concert is the result of a new initiative by the Budafok Dohnanyi Orchestra, which they believe will be a creative and joyous one for many. Instead of trying to evoke commercialized American folk music festivals, it harkens back to ancient Celtic traditions, lining up music from the macabre to the cathartic to the playful. “The way the show is put together is intended to provide exciting and engaging entertainment for connoisseurs and those who are not regular attendees of classical music.

It features music by Mussorgsky, Berlioz, Saint-Saëns, Gounod, Verdi and operas by Levente Gyöngyösi Excerpts from the festival, as well as other selections from film scores and musicals by John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith and Andrew Lloyd Webber.
