The “verbena” is, without a doubt, one of the most popular zarzuelas we have, its musical themes are part of the soundtrack of our lives and are anchored in the popular culture of many generations.
A plot of jealousy that transports us to a Madrid of Manolas and Txulapos celebrating their popular summer revelry in La Latina. But what would happen if instead of Madrid, it happened in another city? Benidorm, for example. And what if instead of Manolas and Txulapos our protagonists are the fauna that populates the city of eternal summer? And what if “La Paloma” is the most popular kiosk on the entire beach of Benidorm?
With all these ingredients we have prepared a very special cocktail, a very close version of “La Verbena”, a mess where jealousy, interest, fun and summer beaches intersect to give this classic a twist without losing any of its essence.
