ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
Sylvie Valayre’s stage debut took place in 1983 in this play by Jacques Josselin about Maria Malibran in which Sylvie took over the title role, also singing music from Bellini’s “Norma” & “La sonnambula” Rossini’s “Semiramide”, “Otello” & “Il barbiere di Siviglia”, “Guillaume Tell”, among others. The staging is by Philippe Rondest and Frédéric Chaslin is playing the piano. This upload is supposed to pay hommage to stage director Philippe Rondest of the Comédie-Française, actor Gérard Caillaud, who is playing the role of Rossini and violist Philippe Aïche, who sadly all passed away this year.
