ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE

Since its creation in 1988, the Voix Nouvelles competition has set itself the objective of identifying and supporting young talents in the lyrical art. The competition supported by Génération Opéra nevertheless has the particularity of being organized in collaboration with a number of French opera houses, particularly in the region, and with the Voix des Outre-mer competition, making it possible to highlight young performers whose careers are not is not necessarily part of traditional educational structures. And with obviously some success since the first four editions of the Voix Nouvelles competition notably distinguished Natalie Dessay in 1988, Stéphane Degout in 1998, Karine Deshayes in 2002 and Hélène Carpentierin 2018.

The elimination rounds of the fifth edition of the Voix Nouvelles competition were held in the region between November and March, and on June 28 and 29, the semi-final organized at the Opéra de Massy made it possible to distinguish the ten finalists from the 2023 edition of Voix Nouvelles.

Unsurprisingly, there are several promising young voices there. We can mention, for example, the soprano Lauranne Oliva and the tenor Valentin Thill, both of whom have already rich and noted young careers; Emy Gazeilles who recently performed in Musiques en fête and will soon join the first promotion of the Paris Opera troupe; Lila Dufy noticed at the Capitole de Toulouse two years ago; or Livia Louis-Joseph Dogué , young talent prize from Voix des Outre-mer or mezzo Linsey Coppens , already semi-finalist in the Operalia 2021 competition .
