ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
On June 17, Debra Chandler, Executive Director of Concerts in Care Ontario was joined by legendary Canadian soprano Sondra Radvanovsky for an extraordinary conversation packed with fun, sound advice and tricks of the trade!
Sondra Dee Radvanovsky (born 11 April 1969) is an American-Canadian soprano. Specializing in 19th-century Italian opera, Radvanovsky is widely regarded as one of the best sopranos in her generation – – the premiere Verdi soprano alive today, as well as the leading interpreter of Bel Canto, Verismo, and many others. She has a remarkably extensive repertoire and has portrayed some of the most demanding opera heroines, including the title roles in Medea, Norma, Tosca, Rusalka, and Leonora in Il Trovatore, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, and also Donizetti’s “Tudor Queens” – – the title roles in Anna Bolena and Maria Stuarda, and Elizabeth I in Roberto Devereux.
