Anna lifted the whole show….she was different class and performed Leonora brilliantly..:)
The staging was typical Zefferelli and the rest of the cast were pretty good but this is a standout performance by Netrebko who raised the level every time she appeared on stage.
Interesting blog, it reminds me of Il trovatore (The Troubadour) in Verona by the famous Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi.
