A biblical drama in one act “Il Maledetto”, composed by Fonseca, in 1906, which tells the story of the brothers Cain and Abel.
The presented version of this passage from the Book of Genesis will be quite different from what the public might expect, as the design of spaces and costumes do not follow the imagery of the former, explains Visual Arts director Marcondes Lima. “The setting is not the one that refers to constructions that we usually see from passages in the Bible. The setting is a kind of limbo, where singers, actors and dancers come across references from the Judeo-Christian culture in countless details, ranging from costumes to make-up, passing through the scenic elements”.
