ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
Ihor Mostovoi: A Voice for Peace follows the extraordinary journey of a Ukrainian baritone and emerging artist with Opera for Peace, whose voice has become a symbol of resilience and hope.
From his childhood in Mariupol to performances worldwide, the documentary traces Ihor’s artistic development, marked by passion, discipline, and international training at leading institutions such as the Académie de l’Opéra de Paris. Just as his career was gaining momentum, history intervened: the war in Ukraine forced Ihor to survive, flee, and remain silent—but his voice endured.
The film shows his return to the stage after exile and his growing commitment to opera, which enables dialogue and healing. By giving voice to wartime testimonies through projects like Letters from the Frontline, Ihor transforms music into an act of perception and remembrance. Through Opera for Peace, he not only experiences artistic growth but also receives a mission: to become a voice for his people, carrying memory, culture, and hope across borders.
