In the last years of its existence, the mythical tenor Manuel García focused his activity on teaching. For his students he composed a small corpus of parlor operas in which he transferred the genre to the bourgeois apartments without renouncing the aesthetic and technical ambitions of Rossinian lyricism. After having presented two of these titles ( Le cinesi in 2017 and Il finto sordo in 2019), the Juan March Foundation and the Teatro de la Zarzuela now add I tre gobbi , the only one of their five chamber operas that has not yet been performed in Spain.

This is Not a “FULL” performance – it is only about 6 minutes of a trailer. Is there a full video available? Garcia’s operas are both rare and very enjoyable
