ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
Our goal is to present Baroque music literature in the most faithful way to historical performance rules. For this purpose, we invite domestic and foreign artists specializing in the performance of early music, who use historical instruments or their copies.
In order to fully present the artistic values of this music, and our audience – an artistic presentation at the highest, world-class level, we organize concerts in the historic interiors of Białystok, characterized by specific acoustics: the Aula Magna of the Branicki Palace and the Old Parish Church. It is not without significance for us that this music sounded in these places during the heyday of the Branicki manor. In this way, we want to cultivate the old musical traditions of Białystok, started by the patronage of Hetman Jan Klemens Branicki, especially since knowledge about this aspect of the city’s history (and its importance on the cultural map of the 18th-century Poland) is still not sufficiently common.
