Galina Pisarenko talks about her career.
She performs romances and excerpts from musical performances: “Masquerade” (music by Alexander Glazunov), the operetta “La Belle Hélène” (music by Jacques Offenbach), the mono-opera “Letters of Love” (music by Vitaly Gubarenko), the television play “My Franz Lehár,” and the film opera “The Tsar’s Bride” (music by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov). Svyatoslav Richter performs the piano part in Nikolai Medtner’s romance “Only Roses Wither.”
The film also features footage of singer Nina Dorliak from a gala evening at the Small Hall of the Leningrad Philharmonic.
