ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE

From April 11 to April 14, 2023, the St. Petersburg Conservatory is holding the 51st All-Russian review competition of vocalists – graduates of music universities. This is a traditional annual event in the system of vocal education. Forty graduates of thirteen educational institutions participate in competitive auditions.
The jury of the review is the Council for the Vocal Art of Russia, which includes the heads of the solo singing departments of the country’s leading music universities. The jury members select the best singers to participate in the chamber vocal music concert and the final gala concert.
In 2023, the events of the Vocal Competition will be held for the first time at the venues of the Mariinsky Theatre. The chamber concert of the winners will take place on April 13 in the Rachmaninoff Hall. The gala concert of the laureates will take place on April 14 at the Concert Hall, accompanied by the renowned Symphony Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre. A performance with an outstanding musical group is a great honor for young singers and a new page in the history of this vocal competition.
The participants of the review will perform in front of the St. Petersburg public, representatives of theaters, philharmonic societies, concert organizations interested in inviting young talented singers.
