FLASH FLASH is a crazy piece of work, not so much ‘about’ Andy Warhol as it is set around the idea of him. It is an incandescent requiem that mirrors Warhol’s work in serenity and passion, religious art and pornography, trash and diamonds. We watch ‘modern man’s’ flirtation with destruction and death. With an insatiable hunger for powerful effects and luxury, he fills life with voyeurism, cheap melodrama, buying and selling. At its core lies a simple and coherent story of a lonely man surrounded by people. All presented in a gilded frame: the world of opera or opera as the world.
