At the end of the auditions, the jury selected the winners for the various roles up for competition.
For Gioachino Rossini’s L’italiana in Algeri , part of the OperaLombardia circuit, the winners were Jaeyul Kim , 25, from South Korea, for the role of Mustafà, Lorenzo Liberali , 31, from Italy, and Chao Liu , 29, from China, both for the role of Taddeo, and Ilariandrea Tomasoni , 23, from Italy, for the role of Isabella.
For Giuseppe Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera , also for OperaLombardia, the selected candidates were Alessia Battini , 31, from Italy, for the role of Amelia, Jun Young Choi , 29, from South Korea, for Renato, Ioanna Kykna , 29, from Greece, for Ulrica, and Yuer Ye , 22, from China, for Oscar.
For Giuseppe Verdi’s Rigoletto , as part of Opera Domani, the winner is Bowen Guan , 30, from China, for the title role.
For the Emerging Voices section , the award went to Giulio Putrino , 25, from Italy, and Yukang Zheng , 25, from China. Songha Lee , 28, from South Korea, who had applied for the role of Amelia, was also deemed suitable . The Giovanna Lomazzi Audience Award was awarded ex aequo to the singers Forooz Razavi and Ilariandrea Tomasoni , confirming the strong involvement of the audience even in the final phase of the competition.
