Audiences can celebrate Erika Miklósa at the Erkel Theatre on 21 January, 2016. For her 25th anniversary on stage, one of the most popular Hungarian opera singers has invited international friends and colleagues to Budapest. Beside Daniela Pini and Leonardo Ferrando, Gergely Boncsér, Attila Dolhai and István Horváth join her on stage. The concert features coloratura arias as well as excerpts from musicals and operettas.
Erika Miklósa first appeared on stage in 1990 as the youngest contracted artist in the history of the Hungarian State Opera House. After 2 years in Mannheim, she got the role of the Queen of the Night in Mozart’s Magic Flute. After that, her international career took off quickly, this figure became her trademark, and with nearly five hundred performances behind her, she became the most sought-after artist in this role. In addition to her world music career, she lives a serious sports life, in 2013 she ran the New York City Marathon during a Queen of the Night series in Los Angeles. In addition, as the ambassador of volunteering in Hungary, she takes a serious role in matters related to charity and talent management. One of Hungary’s most popular opera singers invited her foreign artist friends to Budapest for the 25th anniversary of her career.
