ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
On the occasion of the 206th anniversary of the birth of our most prominent poet and playwright from Valladolid within romanticism, Don José Zorrilla, AZVA wanted to pay its particular tribute to the poet and for this it wants to present its show “ENTRE RONDAS Y QUERELLAS”.
The action is going to be framed in the movement of romanticism (S.XIX).
The plot is set in the story of “Don Juanes” based on the work of José Zorrilla “Margarita la Tornera” of which the maestro Chapí also composed an opera.
The musical numbers have been chosen from the romantic-style zarzuelas: Doña Francisquita, Luisa Fernanda, La Canción del Olvido, El Último romántico, La Calesera, among others.
The entertaining script written by Rosa Fernández, will introduce us to the plot of the show, bringing not only the zarzuela but also the work of the poet from Valladolid closer to the public that comes to see us.
