On May 1, 2026, the Eastman-Rochester Chorus and the Eastman Philharmonia performed Felix Mendelssohn’s beloved choral masterpiece “Elijah,” 180 years after its premiere. Led by Professor of Conducting & Ensembles Dr. William Weinert, this marked his last performance at Eastman before retirement.
The ensembles joined together with vocal soloist Joshua Conyers, assistant professor of voice, and 12 student soloists to present this powerful oratorio.
