Enrique Franco’s review in EL PAÍS (28 August 1998) states that Il Grande Inquisitore was sung in this performance (27 August) by Sergei Aleksashkin, but, like Mr. Santos, I have seen Vladimir Vaneev listed by other sources. Visually, however, it is unquestionably Aleksashkin.
Additional members of the cast included Marina Rodríguez-Cusí (Una voce dal cielo), Olatz Saitua-Tribar (Tebaldo), and Emilio Sánchez (Il conte di Lerma).
