Divided into three acts, the story of “O Morcego” takes place during New Year’s Eve, in Porto Alegre. The starting point is Falke’s revenge plan against his friend Gabriel von Eisenstein, who had left him in an embarrassing situation in the past. The plot also ends up involving Eisenstein’s wife, Rosalinda, the employee Adele, and Frank, the city’s chief of police. When they all meet at the biggest social event of the year, a masked ball at Prince Orlowsky’s residence, the revelation of their identities will set off a series of hilarious confrontations
