What happens when we sing? Can singing create feelings of happiness? What does a singer experience during a “magical” performance?
Bernard Weber pursued these questions after his last film “Die Wiesenberger” and they prompted him to explore the power and magic of the human voice.
Now he tells the story of four people – including the soprano Regula Mühlemann and the voice artist Andreas Schaerer – who are passionately trying to explore the tonal limits of the human voice. In addition to the singers, the voice researcher Matthias Echternach is searching for the physiological secret of the voice and the voice therapist Miriam Helle accompanies people on the path to their own, authentic sound.
