The Montserrat Caballé Private Foundation and the Gran Teatre del Liceu have made it possible to realize Montserrat’s dream, to celebrate the International Singing Competition in her beloved Barcelona. A competition that has been and will continue to be a springboard for great young talents and that has, until today, featured more than six thousand young singers from five continents. The winners have debuted with critical and public success in the most prestigious opera houses in the world, and we can currently recognize the names of many of them, such as Pretty Yende, Nadine Sierra, Levy Sekgapane or Pene Pati, among others. This competition will be itinerant and in the coming years it can be seen in other opera houses around the world.
