ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
The Cameristi della Scala present a concert in the Milan Cathedral, directed by Giulio Prandi and with the participation of the University Choir of the Ghislieri College of Pavia.
The first piece on the program is a Salve Regina by Giuseppe Sarti, chapel master of the Milan Cathedral from 1779 to 1784. The Salve Regina comes in fact from the library of the Veneranda Fabbrica, and is presented here in its first modern performance.
Antonio Vivaldi’s Gloria dates back to about 1716, Divided into twelve parts, it is one of the most famous examples of Baroque spirituality, oscillating between moments of delicate intimacy and extroverted grandeur and celebratory brilliance(Visited 312 times, 1 visits today)
