On one of the days of Great Lent, on the way to Easter, the Resurrection of Christ, the BashOpera Concert Choir will present two compositions to fans of sacred music.
One of them will be the Orthodox masterpiece of the Russian composer Alexander Grechaninov “The Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom” (No. 2, Op. 29) for mixed choir a cappella.
The second work of the evening is “Mass” for mixed choir, soloists, string orchestra, organ, timpani and harp by the contemporary Moldovan composer Vladimir Ciolac. The work will be performed in an arrangement for choir, accompanied by piano and organ.
