ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
The program begins with two small works by anonymous composers made available by the Bathasar de Freitas Collection (Jaraguá-GO) and edited by the musicologist and conductor Marshal Gaioso from Goiás. Following, the Te Deum by Father José Maurício Nunes Garcia (1767-1830), the most important Brazilian composer of the first half of the 19th century, will be presented.
In the second part, two works by composers still alive will be presented. It begins with the first audition of Te Deum, by the composer from Goiás and physician Fernando Cupertino (1959), written in 2020, to celebrate low levels of the pandemic.
The program ends with the presentation of Te Deum, by the São Paulo composer Amaral Vieira (1952), who in 2022 will be 70 years old. Amaral Vieira is an internationally renowned
