Handel and Bach are two great composers born in the same year. Their work is somewhat similar in style: after all, they both lived in the Baroque era. Otherwise, they are very different. One is bright, theatrical, able to depict both drama and celebration in sounds. The other is a profound philosopher who created a musical image of eternity. They never met in life, but today their paths often cross on concert stages.
The masterpieces of two geniuses will be performed by a trio in the Cathedral on Malaya Gruzinskaya: organ, oboe, mezzo-soprano.
