With her own life story in music, Dutch-Argentine soprano Ana-Carmen Balestra captivated the jury of Dutch Classical Talent. She sings about universal themes such as innocence, childhood, zest for life, loss, and love, using songs by Purcell, Bernstein, and Mercedes Sosa, among others.

Ana-Carmen Balestra is one of the great vocal talents of the current generation. She graduated with honors from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and made such an impression during the Opera Course at the Guildhall School of Music that she won the Guildhall Wigmore Prize and made her debut at London’s renowned Wigmore Hall.
