ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
In a fictional work that creates a music-historical context for Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and his connection to this place, we accompany the protagonist Anna, played by Leopoldine Richards, through the DomQuartier Salzburg over four Advent Sundays.
The film’s musical journey is accompanied by well-known performers such as the young soprano Miriam Kutrowatz (pictured above), a member of the Vienna State Opera, and the renowned tenor and Mozart specialist KS Michael Schade.
Together with the Bachchor Salzburg and the Ensemble Zefiro under the musical direction of Alfredo Bernardini, they are heading towards Christmas, the spiritual climax of this time and the zenith of production.
The focus of the story is the girl Anna, who roams the DomQuartier Salzburg in the footsteps of Mozart and his music. The works are interpreted by four soloists, choir and orchestra. Anna immerses herself in the history of the place and Mozart’s unique sound world.
These encounters open up ways out of doubt and loneliness and she experiences twists and turns from which she draws hope, strength and trust. The course of the story is based on the selection of Mozart music pieces that accompany Anna’s development and metamorphosis on her journey through Salzburg. With the interpretation of soloists and orchestra, sound worlds emerge that symbolize the gradual “awakening of the light” in the course of the cinematic narrative. The plot moves between Anna’s real world and a dream world that opens up to her through the music.
With “Amadeus, Amadeus – Winterklang Salzburg” you can expect a unique journey that points to the historical significance of the DomQuartier Salzburg and at the same time honors the musical wealth of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
The filmic narrative, which focuses on Anna’s adventures and her inner development, is accompanied by outstanding performers and invites you to discover the magic of Mozart’s sound world.
Immerse yourself in this film’s inspiring message, which reminds us that music and Christmas both have the power to bring light and hope to our hearts.
