The composer Lyubomir Denev created a musical and stage work based on the libretto by Gergan Tsenov, intended for performance by a singer – a dramatic soprano, with piano accompaniment. The text (in English) interprets the dramatic life of Alma Mahler, an interesting and controversial personality, companion of famous people from the artistic world in Europe between the two World Wars: composer Gustav Mahler, architect Walter Gropius, painter Oskar Kokoschka and writer Franz Werfel. Alma, the daughter of an artist, a woman with a rich soul, herself gifted with composer talent, is forced to suppress her artistic attractions in the name of love and to devote her personal life to the men by her side.
