Fernando Jaumandreu Obradors was born in Barcelona in 1897. Obradors composes some orchestral pieces, but his most famous works are art songs.Between 1921 and 1941 he wrote 4 volumes of classic Spanish songbooks – called Canciones Clasicas Espanolas. These songs are old folk songs, melodies and poems set to music; some poems date from the 15th century. From these 4 tapes a total of 6 songs are presented in the music film.
